Win in Moscow Wushu-sanda championship

Today the championship of Moscow on wushu-sanshou which there took place on 13-14th of February has ended. The championship was spent by the Moscow Federation WUSHU the headed M.N.Rabadanovym. It was the selection stage on the championship of Russia. Darya Sergeeva from this championship has decided to try the ascension on steps of hierarchy of combat sports with hope to leave on the international level. I will remind that Darya is study Iliqchuan 4.5 years. She is the student and the instructor of school. In the semifinal fight she obviously dominated over the opponent, and the duel has ended, it is possible to tell, with a clear advantage. The final duel where us expected strong opponent (the champion of Russia on a kickboxing and the world champion on wushu-sanshou). Fight was rigid and uncompromising. Darya having put all skills has managed to gain not an easy victory, and the decision of judges was unanimous. I congratulate our student on the first step on not to an easy way of sports, and I wish it the further successes and less traumas. And the main thing - to carry out conceived, without indulging weaknesses. Dasha, you well done!! P.S. Video we will lay out as soon as we will digitize. Look on our site.

i may fight in the sanda competition at the taiji legacy tournament in dallas this july, but i don't know yet.

i need to see if i can pull together a few people to help me train and a place nearby where i can do so.

what did your pre-fight training look like for conditioning? (just heavy spinning, running, wrestling etc?)

what do you do for recovery after your fights?

Marty 25.02.2009 15:47

Would Dasha be eligible to compete at the Taiji Legacy if she were able to make the journey?

i don't see why not, since it's an international level event. two years ago there were fighters from all over.

i think the snag would be that i don't think any women turn out to fight there.

GONGFU 25.02.2009 23:43

All depends on the finance, guyes... I always glad to arrive to you .:)

ashe 26.02.2009 06:30

And we'd be glad to have you!

Pre-fight training as usually. But different thats you must using what you have and less learn new skills. But it dependse on how many time you have before fight. Of course you must look into the rules of competiton. And if it is fight with box gloves and some protecrors try to punch and move with this.

It is very important to continue to do 15 basic exercises every day deeper and deeper. I am not running and do not use wrestling. I am only jump on skipping ropes but not more then 15 minutes. I do spinning hands light and heavy, many sticky hands, use exercises from 6 iliqchuan level. Do alternate bagua steps. Many exercise for control centers of mass. i do a lot of iliqchuan sparring exercises. I work on a bag too. I use in my traning 12 unz. box gloves. I do a lot of things but it all iliqchuan base.

For recovery I use 15 basic ex. It is very good for circulation. I can use chzhanchzhuan but not so many. I use meditation for recover body and mind. Use breath and attention for treatments of traumas. Some massage. And some chines medicine for blood, bones, muscles and a skin.

Very cool and good to hear that your training is all I Liq Chuan. How much time do you generally spend training on a daily basis and how much more do you train pre-fight?

GONGFU 01.03.2009 23:34

2 ashe,

It is Tenchi Powder Raw, Dieda zhou (I don't know how to write correctly, you can ask Sigong about everything), 701 dieda zhengtongyaogao plaster, redflowers oil, Zheng Gu Shui.

2 Marty,
In our MA school we have 2 class with different basic exercises at the evening every day exept Sunday. So I go on each. And I have my own training during a day with my Sifu or myself.

ashe 02.03.2009 08:18

D,
The pin yin spelling tieh da jiu but most English speakers familiar with kung fu herbs use the cantonese dit da jow, or just jow for short.

Are you using the formula from the Sifu? I just saw that it was on the instructors handouts CD not too long ago. Where do you buy your herbs to put the formula together? Is there a good china town in Moscow or do you just order them from china?

I'm not sure what the red flower oil is for.

Also since I haven't had a chance to make any of the Sifu's formula I don't know if it's hot or cold. Is it a cold formula, and that's why you use the zheng gu shui? Do you use that more to loosen up during training or as a recovery tool to deal with sprains and strains / soreness? I usually mix some zheng gu shui with my jow to make it hot, but otherwise always kind of considered it to be inferior to dit da jow, so now I'm really curious about your use of it.

GONGFU 08.03.2009 00:26

2 ashe,

Thanks. We using Sugong's formula and jow from the chines shop. In Moscow we don't have china town, but we find chines drugstore. In this store we bought herbs for formula. Another medicine we bought with Sigong in NY china town or sigong brougt it to Moscow for us.

I using red flower oil for treating scratches, bruises.

Zheng gu shui is a very strong. I use ZGS lotions seldom for strong traumas. Jow very often, right after getting a bruise. I don't know about can we mix ZGS and Jow together.... What Sigong say about this?
