Western Australian Kung Fu and Tai Chi Championships 2008
Well, it was the second year that this competition has been held, this year we had more of a presence. Jeremy, Bevan and myself and sifu Henry attended. Henry was one of the judges for the tai chi forms. It was great to have him there !
Bevan did the butterfly form, Jeremy and I did the 21 form. We were judged together as there was only one event for ILC, next year hopefully we can have the 2 forms recognised separately. Jeremy scored the gold and Bevan the silver, I didn't place as there were only 3 of us and the rules were that bronze wouldn't be given unless there were 4 or more contestants. Thanks to Jeremy, we had lots of info on ILC placed around the event and we managed to create some interest in our art. It was a great day and fun to be a part of. I was amazed at how nervous I was and I became aware how important it is to confident in what you know and do and to keep the mind on oneself. My girlfriend Erin filmed the event and I'll post it up soon, my internet connection is too slow at the mo to upload to youtube  I Liq Chuan Australia is growing  |

dude that's awesome! too bad they didn't have an open division so that you guys didn't have to compete against each other...
