Dear I Liq Chuan Students,
This is Yen Yin, Master Sam Chin's younger daughter. Master Sam Chin asked that I inform everyone about the grading policy.
In order for students to participate in the grading process, they must be a current member of the Chin Family I Liq Chuan Association. Grading will now only be taken place three times a year for New York students: February intensive, I Liq Chuan Family Annual Picnic (June) and the October workshop. For students outside of New York, you may be graded during the Master Sam Chin's in-town visit(s).
Students/instructors who wish to participant in the grading process must submit an application with their fees in advance (atleast 1 week for Student Level Grading, and 3 months for Instructor Level Grading ). In addition, participants must be in their full uniform including: I-Liq Chuan t-shirt, black pants and level belt. Anybody that does not meet this requirement will not be graded.
This policy will be enforced strictly starting this year.
